Lavka…our favourite Trencianski Coffee Shop

A little different to what Life Through The Lens was set up to do as usually this kind of stuff is done through my Iris Media company that focusses on my corporate work but I thought, “why not write a blog about it?”

Lavka is a coffee shop here in Trencin just on the outskirts of town, it’s a little further than the other cafes that are located on the main strip but boy is it worth the extra 5 minutes of walking! The cafe again ties in with our time here playing for HK Dukla Trencin as the cafe is owned by an awesome couple called Adam & Zuzka…Adam is our team physio.

The shop reminds me a little of home and the local coffee shops we have around Barry on the beach front, at the pumphouse and on the High Street in Barry. It’s got a warm, friendly and relaxed atmosphere with by far the best coffee around, awesome food (the pancakes there are to die for 😍) and amazing cakes that are dangerous for us if we ever want to lose weight 😂.

Adam & Zuzka had their cafe designed by a friend of theirs called Majo who wanted some shots of the cafe interior to put on his website and promote his work. The job brief was to capture the layout, the details and the feeling of the cafe.

The cafe is set out beautifully as you can see in the images but the light was so bright coming through the huge front windows that it made the shoot a little more challenging but I think it came out well and I’m super happy that Adam, Zuka & Majo are super happy with how they turned out!!
