Patrick & Marisa
Patrick is a defenceman on my team here in Slovakia, HK Dukla Trencin, which means himself and his girlfriend Marisa are in a very similar situation to myself and Jade. They’ve packed up their lives and travelled across the world so that Patrick can earn a living playing the sport he loves and Marisa is here supporting him. You have to remember that girlfriends and wives of hockey players give up so much at times to be with their partners wherever they are playing and both Marisa & Jade are no exception to that rule. It gets to training camp time and they pack up their lives, say bye to family and friends and leave everything behind just to be with us and that is something us guys appreciate more than we could ever explain or write about in this case.
Patrick & Marisa both wanted a photoshoot while they’re here in Trencin so I put my thinking cap on to decide what was the best way to do this shoot and what location would be the best for it. After all, there is a lot of beautiful scenery around here. It struck me that here in Trencin, your life revolves around the town centre, it’s a beautiful place lined with coffee shops, bars and restaurants down each side so why not do something a little different and do an ‘urban’ photoshoot showing off their lives around the town centre and streets of Trencin. Luckily Trencin is like most places in Europe with buildings, walls and alleyways full of character which meant I had some pretty amazing backdrops to work with!
The last shot we got was one that when in Trencin, you have to have and that was a shot with Trencin Castle in the background! Boy does it look good in those shots!
I think you’ll agree when looking at the shots of them both in my portfolio that they absolutely nailed this photoshoot! We had a load of fun and shot everything in a relaxed manner which is my style and how I believe photos should be done.
I got to learn a hell of a lot during this shoot, I’m pumped with the results and I can’t wait to get back to South Wales and get more amazing shots for the clients that have already booked in for their family, furry friends and engagement shoots in the summer!
